the man

Zoro’s beginnings as an underprivileged child never stopped him from accomplishing amazing things. Raised with his six siblings by a struggling single mother, his family lived in abject poverty. Barely getting by on food stamps, they moved 30 times by the time Zoro was in 4th grade. Despite their hardships, his mother filled his heart with faith, hope, love and dreams. As far back as he can remember, Zoro felt the right motivation, teamed with hard work, could make any dream come to life.

Zoro’s love for music started in childhood as well. They didn’t have much money, but one Christmas his mother bought him a Mickey Mouse drum set out of the Sears catalog. The paper drum skins lasted all of that Christmas Day before they were destroyed. What did last was his passion for the instrument. Early on, Zoro knew his destiny was to become a professional drummer.

Years passed, Zoro married and his career took off. Yet as he became more and more successful, his marriage began to unravel. Not long after the divorce, a devastating earthquake hit Los Angeles. Zoro lost everything and hit rock bottom.

His faith was put to the test, but Zoro remained steadfast to his beliefs. By following the advice he had shared with others for years, he quickly moved through the challenges life had thrown in his way. Since 1995 Zoro has been happily married to the love of his life, Renee, and has been blessed with two beautiful children. His family, and his career have flourished.
