Zoro is an internationally known rock star and Christian ambassador. One of the world’s most renowned and respected drummers, he has toured and recorded with Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Brown, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The New Edition, Jody Watley, Sean Lennon, Philip Bailey, Lisa Marie Presley, among many others.

Zoro’s worldwide appeal is evident from his numerous awards and accolades. He is consistently voted “#1 R&B Drummer & Educator” in Modern Drummer, Drum! and Rhythm magazines. Zoro’s best-selling book and DVD, The Commandments of R&B Drumming, were awarded the prestigious, “#1 Best Educational Products Title” in the Modern Drummer & Rhythm magazine reader’s polls. He is also featured on the celebrated DVD release, Modern Drummer Festival 2005 (Hudson Music).

The author of several books, his current work-in-progress is destined to provide inspiration to readers of all ages for the fulfillment of dreams. 

The “Minister of Groove” has been the subject of dozens of print, radio and television stories including pieces in Christian Musician, and appearances on Joyce Meyers’ Enjoying Everyday Life, Daystar Celebration and The Joni Show, CBN’s The 700 Club and One Cubed, Focus on the Family and TBN among many others. A highly effective Christian spokesperson, Zoro has kept his eyes focused on the Lord. He has preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ with passion and zeal for more than 20 years – both onstage and off. Zoro has used his worldwide platform to relentlessly advance the Kingdom of God by building up God’s people, and leading the lost to Christ.

Statement of faith

I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
 
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
 
I believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His bodily resurrection to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in Power and Glory.

Salvation is a commitment of our life to the authority of God the Father by receiving and recognizing Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of all. (2 Corinthians 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:8)
 
Water Baptism by immersion. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39)
 
I encourage the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
